No, you do not need a catalyst for any of the High Teck Basecoats. These automotive basecoats only need a reducer to thin them down in order to spray. Then you will clear coat over top as the final step to protect the basecoat from UV rays, scratches, dirt, and other environmental factors. This is referred to as a 2 stage coating system, which is a basecoat, then clear coat.
