No, once any matte clearcoat is applied you simply let it dry, no polishing or sanding required. This is important to preserve the matte finish on the clearcoat. You may need to sand a matte clear coat if there are imperfections or orange peel that you want to smooth out. If sanding is required you will need to apply another 1-2 coats of matte clearcoat using the same gun and temperature settings as your original clearcoat to achieve the same finish.
